Review and edit translations

Every piece of your text appears with its original beside the translation, one tab per language.

1
Open TranslationsGo to Settings → Languages and scroll to Translations. Pick a language tab, then use the filters or search to find a line.
2
Read the statusMachine — translated automatically. Edited — written by your team, never overwritten. Missing — not translated yet; visitors see the original. Original changed — you edited this translation, then the original changed. Needs review — an NDA waiting for approval. Needs attention shows everything that isn’t settled.
3
Fix a lineType the better wording and select Save. The line becomes Edited and keeps your wording from then on. Short labels like button names are worth checking — machine translation sees them without context.
4
Formatted textLabels with bold or italic words have a small formatting toolbar. Longer documents — NDAs, the invite email, evacuation emails — open a full editor when you select Edit.
5
When the original changesMachine translations update by themselves. Edited lines are marked Original changed and keep your wording until you update them or choose Reset to machine translation.
6
Fill gapsIf lines show Missing — for example after a network problem — select Translate missing now. If it reports failures, try again shortly or contact support.
TIPSearching by location — for example a visitor type’s name — finds every line from that visitor type, including its questions and choices.
